modernmartyr

modern martyr, aka angela wiedermann was born in 1977 in vienna. she studied psychology at viennas main university. in october 2004 she was accepted as a student at the fashion department of viennas university of applied arts (class of raf simons), but soon left to pursuit her own projects.

in her work modern martyr tries to depict her utopian phantasies, dwells in megalomania, explores her personal stereotypical mindmaps, and plays with her own identity/gender, constantly dirfting between reality and fiction.

modernmartyr sells her collections in vienna, london, paris and hong kong. She presents her artwork periodically in exhibitions and in public space.
